BellaSublime
Privacy Policy
At BellaSublime, we believe your trust is as important as the pieces you choose. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.
This policy applies to bellasublime.ca and to any orders, accounts, and communications connected with our store.
The personal information we collect
We only collect information we need to run our boutique and serve you well. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:
- Contact details — your name and email address.
- Shipping and billing addresses — so we can deliver your order and confirm your payment.
- Order history — the items you have purchased, order totals, and delivery preferences.
- Account information — if you create an account, your login email and saved preferences.
- Communications — messages you send us through our contact form or by email.
- Technical and usage information — device, browser, and general location data collected automatically through cookies and analytics.
Payment information. Card payments are processed securely by Stripe through hosted checkout. Your full card number is entered directly with Stripe and is never seen or stored by BellaSublime. We receive only limited confirmation details, such as whether a payment succeeded and the last few digits or card type, so we can manage your order.
How we collect your information
We collect personal information directly from you and through everyday store activity, including when you:
- Place an order or check out.
- Create or update an account.
- Subscribe to our newsletter or promotional emails.
- Contact us through our contact form or by email.
- Browse our website, where cookies and analytics tools gather technical information automatically.
Why we use your information
We use your personal information for clear, limited purposes:
- To fulfil your orders — processing payments, arranging shipping, and sending order confirmations and updates.
- To provide customer support — answering questions, handling returns and exchanges, and resolving issues.
- To send marketing emails — only if you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To prevent fraud and keep our store secure — verifying transactions and protecting against unauthorized activity.
- To improve our website and offerings — understanding how our store is used through aggregated analytics.
- To meet legal and accounting obligations — such as tax, record-keeping, and responding to lawful requests.
Who we share your information with
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us operate our store, and only to the extent they need it to perform their services on our behalf. These include:
- Stripe — to securely process payments.
- Shipping carriers — to deliver your order to your address.
- Our email and SMTP provider — to send order confirmations, support replies, and newsletters you have opted into.
- Analytics providers — to help us understand and improve how our website is used.
These providers are required to protect your information and use it only for the services they provide to us. We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our customers and our business.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep your shopping cart working, remember your preferences, secure your session, and understand how our website is used. Some cookies are essential for the store to function; others help us with analytics and, where applicable, marketing.
You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Please note that turning off essential cookies may affect checkout and other features of the site.
How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Order and transaction records are retained to meet accounting, tax, and legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it. You can ask us to close your account, and we will remove information we are not legally required to keep.
How we protect your information
We take reasonable and appropriate steps to safeguard your personal information, including:
- Encryption of data in transit using secure (HTTPS) connections.
- Payment processing handled by Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant provider, so card details never reach our systems.
- Access controls that limit personal information to those who need it to serve you.
- Ongoing review of our practices and the service providers we work with.
While we work hard to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Information stored outside Canada
Some of our service providers, including our payment, email, and analytics partners, may store or process information on servers located outside Canada, such as in the United States. When this happens, your information may be subject to the laws of those countries, including lawful access by their courts and authorities. We choose reputable providers who are expected to protect personal information to a standard comparable to Canadian requirements.
Your privacy rights and choices
You have meaningful control over your personal information. You may:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is inaccurate or out of date.
- Withdraw consent for uses that are not required to complete your orders or meet legal obligations.
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any message or by contacting us.
- Request deletion of information we are not required by law to keep.

Children's privacy
Our store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
